My family and I were disappointed last Friday cause it was closed. This morning, as early as 7am, I was excited to see it finally opened for business. No hassle to find roadside parking in front of the shop, and I could see already some customers having breakfast in it. This duck noodle eatery is run by couple and the setting is spacious and clean. Menu listed both duck and pork noodle/rice may be served dry or in soup. We could add on duck feet, duck wing, braised egg and bean curd. Noodles and braised ducks portion are generous, broth is rich and aromatic blended with flavourful herbs and spices. Soon ended and left with satisfaction, empty plate. Thumbs up and definitely a choice for those who looking for local twist.

Run by a couple and sons, seems to be the broth is supposedly herbal and surprisingly, it’s good. The hor fun is smooth and the duck slices are noticeably too little. Lots of spring onion added, and if you are not a big fan, can ask to reduce them while ordering at the stall. The side dishes ordered are braised tofu and , nice. Some wait required as only the main is cooking and with quite a crowd, be patient. great meal to start the morning.

If you’re in Melaka and looking to try something truly local and unique, Tengkera Duck Noodle is a must-visit. This humble eatery, nestled in the Tengkera area, is known for its deliciously rich duck noodle soup, drawing locals and travelers alike for decades. Ambiance and Setting The setting at Tengkera Duck Noodle is simple and unpretentious, with a classic kopitiam vibe. It’s an old-school, no-frills spot where you’re more focused on the food than on ambiance. The seating is straightforward, with plastic tables and chairs that give a true hawker-style feel. The whole atmosphere is authentic, casual, and welcoming, giving you a real taste of local dining culture. Food and Specialties The star of the menu is, of course, the duck noodles. You can order it with different types of noodles, including mee, mee hoon (vermicelli), and kway teow (flat rice noodles). The broth is rich and flavorful, slowly simmered with a mix of herbs and spices that give it a deep, savory taste with a hint of herbal notes. The duck meat is tender, slightly fatty, and falls off the bone easily, making each bite satisfying and flavorful. For those who prefer a dry version, they offer a “dry” duck noodle, where the noodles are tossed in a flavorful soy-based sauce and served with the duck on the side. It’s equally delicious and allows you to taste the natural flavors of the noodles and duck. The noodles are usually topped with spring onions, crispy shallots, and a sprinkle of fried garlic, which adds a nice crunch and aroma. They also serve sides like braised tofu, duck eggs, and even gizzard, which pair wonderfully with the noodles and add a variety of textures to the meal. For spice lovers, a small side of sambal chili is served, adding a kick to the already flavorful dish. Service Since this is a classic hawker-style setup, the service is straightforward and efficient. Orders are taken quickly, and the food arrives in a timely manner. The staff, though often busy, are friendly and helpful, especially if you’re new to duck noodles or need some recommendations. Pricing The prices here are very reasonable, especially considering the rich flavors and quality of the food. A bowl of duck noodles is affordably priced, making it accessible to everyone and a great value for such a satisfying meal. Overall Experience Tengkera Duck Noodle is a place where food speaks louder than any fancy decor or modern plating. It’s an authentic taste of Melaka and a must-try for anyone visiting the city. The hearty flavors of the duck broth and tender meat make this a memorable and comforting meal. If you’re in Melaka, be sure to make a stop here—you won’t be disappointed!

Overall the experience is good, the dried duck meat noodle mixed with “Kway Teow” (rice noodle) is good! The broth is aromatic rich with Chinese herbs. Things to improve is the duck noodle can improve more on the fragrance and the size of the duck meat instead of shedding the meat but to use slides of meat.

Very nice duck noodles, plenty of parking space and they serve the food quite fast. I ordered the duck leg but they unfortunately ran out of stock for that moment, had.to settle with duck breast meat instead.

My husband and I came here for breakfast on a Sunday morning around 9am and were happy to find no queue and several empty tables, though it did fill up by the time we left. We ordered the duck noodles and added an egg and tofu, which came with a side of soup. The food was delicious, and we really enjoyed our meal!
